Ben is the author of the collection Stories for Nighttime and Some for the Day, and a picture book for children, The Baseball Player and the Walrus His fables and tales have been heard on the radio on NPR’s This American Life and Selected Shorts, performed by WordTheatre in London and Los Angeles, and published in The New Yorker, Fairy Tale Review, Weekly Reader’s READ Magazine, and more. He lives in Los Angeles, where he is an Instructor for the UCLA Extension Writers’ Program.

Uneaming by Mike Allen

Mike Allen

Mike’s first collection of short stories, Unseaming, debuted in October to starred reviews from Publishers Weekly and Library Journal. His horror tale “The Button Bin” was a Nebula Award finalist in 2009, and he’s won the Rhysling Award for poetry three times. He’s also editor of the digital journal Mythic Delirium and the critically acclaimed Clockwork Phoenix anthology series; Kickstarter backers willing, he plans to publish Clockwork Phoenix 5 in late 2015. His newest fiction project is a novel with the working title These Bloody Filaments, which he describes as “Breaking Bad written by H.P. Lovecraft.”.
