On Wednesday, we got to hear two talented authors perform their works for the audience. And perform is the opportune word. Lawrence Connolly led off with “Beneath, Between,” a story about a man who discovers a book that shouldn’t exist and goes on a quest to determine its origin. And he performed the entire piece from memory with no notes. Tom Monteleone read “Horn a Plenty,” about a Jazz pianist and a cursed trumpet. Ellen’s photos of the evening can be found here.
